What we collect, and why.
This policy covers useself.ai and the details you send through its forms.
This page covers this website and its waitlist, demo request and contact forms. “Self,” “we,” and “us” refer to the team building Self. Use of the Self product is covered by a separate agreement.
Information you give us
When you send one of these forms, we receive:
- Email, required so we can reply.
- Company, entered on the demo and contact forms. For email-only waitlist and access requests, we use your email domain as the company.
- Role, optional, asked on the demo request form.
- Workflow note, optional, describing the workflow you want us to look at.
- Referring page, its origin and path only, without query string or fragment.
The database adds a submission timestamp. We keep the first request for each email; later submissions do not replace its details.
Information collected automatically
The form handler uses your IP address to rate-limit submissions. It keeps the address only in server memory, until that server instance ends or prunes it, and never writes it to the database.
This website loads Vercel Web Analytics to understand site usage, so your browser makes requests to Vercel. The form handler does not set cookies or send form fields to analytics. We do not run advertising trackers.
When Logo.dev image lookup is configured, your browser requests logos from Logo.dev and sends this website's origin as the referrer. Those image requests do not include form fields.
How we use it
We use your submission to reply to you and to judge whether Self fits your work. If you join the waitlist, we also send occasional emails about Self. We do not use your submission for anything else.
Who sees it
Submissions are stored with Supabase. The form handler reaches it with a server-only credential that is never exposed to your browser.
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers or data brokers. We use infrastructure providers, currently Vercel and Supabase, to host the website, provide analytics, and store submissions on our behalf.
Schibsted Grotesk, Geist Mono and Fraunces are served from this website. Viewing a page does not require a request to Google Fonts from your browser.
How long we keep it
We keep a submission while we are talking or working with you, or while you are on the waitlist, and for a reasonable period afterward in case you follow up. If you ask us to delete a record, we will, unless we are required to keep it for a legal reason.
Your rights
You can ask us what we have on file for you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it at any time. Email useself.privacy@gmail.com and we will handle it. You may also have rights under applicable privacy laws. Use this address to contact us about them.
Children
This is a B2B product website. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we update the date above. We will not widen what we collect or how we use it without saying so here.
